Just had a conversation with my father -- he
wants to make his own ketchup. I asked if he was losing his mind, he said,
"NO! I just wanna different taste..." -- seriously, LOL...

Well, I just returned a few days ago from a MONTH in HK, where we have been
struggling to work through some persistent visa issues. The fact is, the HK
gubment is making it harder and harder for outsiders to live and work in HK, and
it's really frustrating (though I understand they definitely are nervous about
people coming in who won't actually contribute to society, etc).
The GOOD news is that we feel we've come up with a new plan that will solve
our problems -- the LESS-THAN-GOOD news is that I had to return to the USA (once
again) while
we get all the paperwork sorted.
But nevermind -- the MAIN point is that after MANY months of work and
waiting, we are FINALLY just a few weeks from re-booting and getting this show
on the road!! I expect that we'll have the paperwork for my new visa completed
by the first of May, and we should hear back from HK Immigration within about
3-4 weeks at the latest.
So if all goes as planned, I should be back to HK by the end of May, or the
first couple of weeks of June.
HOWEVER, please hold your applause until the fat lady sings...

Just the latest update -- I am still in a holding pattern, hoping to get the
visa within a few weeks -- and still planning to be in HK *before* August
1st.
When I know more, YOU'LL know more...
