I Walked A Mile With Pleasure

Someone sent me this poem this morning...

I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chatted all the way;
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.

I walked a mile with Sorrow,
And ne'er a word said she;
But, oh! The things I learned from her,
When sorrow walked with me.

        ---Robert Browning Hamilton

Don't try to hold yourself in Pleasure's grip, let Providence take you into the darker places where you can learn and grow strong. There are things we learn from suffering that no amount of so-called happiness can buy.

Now if it were just as easy to do as it is to say!
